Reagarth
Farm
Christine
Thompson lives and works at Reagarth Farm, Helmsley where her husband
David, and his family, have farmed since the mid 1930's. At the turn of the millenium Christine established an Administration business to
help local farmers handle the increased amount of paper work that
has now become a major part of the agricultural industry. As word
spread around Christine soon found herself inundated with requests
for her services and consequently had to take the decision whether
to turn business away or employ staff to accommodate the ever increasing
work load. Reagarth Farm Administration Services now has 7 administration
staff all of whom are from a farming background and are well versed
with dealing with farm paper work.
In
February 2004 Christine applied for a grant from DEFRA to erect
a building to provide office accommodation and meeting facilities.
This grant was approved and in July 2004 the erection of a 68 sq
metre cabin was completed which meant that Christine, as well has
having adequate office space, could then offer a Training and Meeting
venue to a wide range of customers.
